1. Who runs this website
This website, bmsbuilding.uk, is run by BMS BUILDING & GROUNDWORKS LTD, trading as BMS Building, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16570052. Our registered office is The Wenta Business Centre, Colne Way, Watford, WD24 7ND, and our VAT number is 497789396. You can contact us at info@bmsbuilding.uk or on 01923 700 649.
2. These terms
By using this website you accept these terms. They cover the website only. Any work we carry out for you is agreed separately, in writing, when you accept a quote, and these terms do not change it.
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page when you use the site is the one that applies.
3. Using the website
You may use this website to find out about our services and to get in touch with us. Please do not:
- try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the website, the server it runs on or any system connected to it
- copy or collect its content by automated means, except as a search engine indexing it in the normal way
- send anything through the enquiry form that is unlawful, abusive, threatening or misleading, or that contains a virus or other harmful code
- pretend to be someone else when you contact us
4. Who owns the content
The words, photographs, design, code and branding on this website belong to BMS BUILDING & GROUNDWORKS LTD or to the people who have licensed them to us. The logos of the schemes and suppliers we work with belong to their owners. Customer reviews are quoted in their authors' own words.
You may view the site, print or save a page for your own use, and share a link to it. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse its content for any other purpose without our written permission.
5. The information on this website
The information here is general. It describes the kind of work we do and the things that usually affect a job, and we keep it as accurate and up to date as we reasonably can. It is not advice for your property or your situation: ground conditions, access, drainage and planning rules vary from one property to the next, and every quote follows a visit. Please do not rely on anything on this site as a substitute for that, or for checking with your local council where planning permission may be needed.
6. Availability
We provide this website as it is, free of charge. We aim to keep it available, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time.
7. Links to other websites
This website links to other websites, such as the registers and schemes that show our accreditations and the sites where our reviews were first published. We include them for your information. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or for how they use your information.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss or damage that arises from your use of this website or from relying on its content, where that loss was not reasonably foreseeable when you used the site, and we are not liable for any business losses, such as loss of profit, revenue or opportunity.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
9. Your personal information
How we use any personal information you give us through this website is set out in our Privacy Policy, and the cookies and similar technologies the site uses are set out in our Cookie Policy.
10. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
